BGC Expert Contractors — SMS Terms & Conditions

These SMS Terms & Conditions (“SMS Terms”) govern your enrollment in and use of the BGC Expert Contractors text-messaging program (the “Program”). The Program is operated by BGC Expert Contractors (“BGC,” “we,” “us,” “our”), a residential roofing and storm-restoration contractor based in Raleigh, North Carolina. By opting in, you agree to these SMS Terms. If you do not agree, do not opt in.
These SMS Terms are a standalone consent document specific to BGC’s SMS Program. Consent to receive SMS from BGC is not bundled into any other BGC agreement and is not required to purchase any BGC product or service.
1. Program description
BGC operates a transactional SMS program used only to send messages directly related to a customer’s project, appointments, document signatures, crew arrivals, and service notifications. The Program is provided by BGC directly. BGC does not use SMS for marketing, promotional, affiliate, or third-party lead-generation purposes, and BGC does not send SMS on behalf of any other company.
2. Message types you may receive
- Appointment reminders and confirmations for inspections, estimates, and repairs.
- Project status updates while your job is in progress, including crew-arrival notices and end-of-day photo notifications.
- Document-signature requests and reminders.
- Service notifications related to your active project, such as weather-related rescheduling, supplier ETAs, and inspection follow-ups.
- Customer-service replies when you message us first.
3. How to opt in
Consent to receive SMS from BGC is collected directly by BGC through one of the following standalone consent mechanisms. Consent is not obtained through any general terms of service, bundled agreement, or third party.
You may opt in to the Program in any of the following ways:
- 1. Web form (express consent). When you submit a quote-request or contact form on www.bgcexperts.com, you must check an SMS-consent box that reads:
“By checking this box, I agree to receive transactional and operational text messages from BGC Expert Contractors at the phone number provided, sent via an autodialer. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. See our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.” - Signed service agreement. By signing a BGC Expert Contractors service agreement that contains a dedicated SMS-consent section authorizing SMS communication for project updates and appointment reminders.
- Reply START. By texting START or SUBSCRIBE to a BGC business number after you previously opted out.

4. Message frequency
Message frequency varies based on project activity. Most customers receive 1–3 messages per appointment and 2–5 messages per active project week. Frequency may be higher in the days surrounding a scheduled install or inspection and lower outside of active project windows.
5. Message and data rates
Message and data rates may apply. Your wireless carrier may charge for messages sent or received. BGC does not charge any SMS fees. Check your mobile plan with your carrier for details.
6. How to opt out (STOP)
You can opt out of the Program at any time by replying STOP to any message we send you. You may also reply STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, or REVOKE. After you opt out, you will receive a single confirmation message and we will stop sending you SMS through the Program. To resubscribe at a later date, reply START or SUBSCRIBE to a BGC business number, or submit a new SMS opt-in through the website or by signing a new service agreement.

8. Carriers and delivery
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. The Program is available on all major U.S. wireless carriers. Carrier participation may change over time.
9. Privacy, data sharing, and no-marketing-share commitment
- We collect mobile phone numbers and use them to send SMS messages relating to your project, appointments, document signatures, and service notifications.
- No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes at any time. We do not share or sell your mobile phone number, SMS opt-in status, or any related consent data with any third party, lead generator, or affiliate for marketing or promotional purposes.
- Information sharing with subcontractors and crews assigned to your project is limited to your name, project address, and the relevant scope of work. Mobile opt-in data is never shared with subcontractors, affiliates, or any third party.

10. SMS consent record retention
SMS opt-in records (the exact disclosure language presented, the date and time of consent, and the source of consent) are retained for the longer of (a) the active relationship with you, plus (b) four years after the last text we send you, in line with industry guidance for proof of consent.
11. Supported devices
The Program supports SMS-capable mobile devices on U.S. wireless carriers. Some devices may not support all message types (for example, messages that include images or links).
12. Eligibility
You must be the account holder or an authorized user of the mobile number you enroll, and you must be 18 years of age or older (or have legal capacity to enter these SMS Terms).
13. No prohibited use cases
BGC’s SMS Program does not include and will not be used for any of the following: affiliate marketing, third-party lead generation, debt collection on behalf of a third party, high-risk financial services, gambling, cannabis, firearms, adult content, or any other use case prohibited by CTIA guidelines or U.S. wireless carriers. The Program is used solely for transactional communications between BGC and its own customers.
14. Changes to these SMS Terms
We may update these SMS Terms from time to time. The current version will always be posted at this URL with the effective date noted at the top. Material changes will be communicated through the Program or by other reasonable means before they take effect.
