BGC Expert Contractors (“BGC,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) operates https://www.bgcexperts.com/ (collectively, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we share it, and the choices you have.

By using the Service you agree to the practices described below.

BGC Expert Contractors is a trade name of Brian Garlock Construction LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company.

1. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly to us and information collected automatically when you use the Service.

Information you provide:

• Contact details: name, email address, mailing address, and phone number (including mobile phone number).
• Project information: property address, photos, scope of work, insurance carrier and claim number, and other details you share when requesting an estimate or signing a service agreement.
• Payment information: billing address and the last four digits of cards used to pay invoices. Full card numbers are processed by our PCI-compliant payment processor and are never stored on our servers.
• Communications: messages, calls, and texts you exchange with our team.

Information collected automatically:

• Log data such as IP address, browser type and version, pages visited, the time and date of your visit, time spent on pages, and similar diagnostics.
• Cookies and similar technologies used to remember your preferences and improve the Service. You can refuse cookies in your browser, but some features may not work properly without them.

2. Mobile phone numbers and SMS messaging

We collect mobile phone numbers and use them to send SMS (text) messages relating to your project, appointments, document signatures, and service notifications.

Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Information sharing to subcontractors does not include mobile opt-in data; that consent information will not be shared with any third parties.

SMS message types. SMS from BGC Expert Contractors is transactional only. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages. The two message types you may receive are:

• Appointment reminders for roof inspections, repairs, and installations.
• Project status updates while your job is in progress (crew arrivals, milestone updates, end-of-day photos).

How you opt in. You opt in to SMS in one of three ways:

1. Web form (express consent). When you submit a quote-request or contact form on www.bgcexperts.com, an SMS-consent statement is displayed at the point of submission. It reads: “I provide my express consent to BGC Expert Contractors to contact me via phone, email, and/or SMS. I understand my consent is not a requirement for purchase, and I may withdraw my consent at any time.” By submitting the form with this statement shown, you provide express consent to receive transactional SMS from BGC. The exact disclosure shown, the date and time, and the source of consent are recorded for each customer..
2. By signing a BGC Expert Contractors service agreement that authorizes SMS communication for project updates and appointment reminders.
3. By verbally consenting during an in-person or phone conversation, which is logged in our project-management system with the date, the rep who captured consent, and the disclosure that was read aloud.

The exact disclosure language and timestamp are stored on each lead record so we can produce proof of consent on request.

Message frequency, fees, and help.

• Message frequency varies based on project activity. Most customers receive 1-3 messages per appointment and 2-5 messages per active project week.
• Message and data rates may apply. Your wireless carrier may charge for messages sent or received; we do not charge any SMS fees ourselves.
• For help, reply HELP to any message from us, call (919) 298-8660, or email office@bgcexperts.com.
• To stop receiving messages, reply STOP to any message from us at any time. You will receive a single confirmation message and no further texts will be sent. To resubscribe, reply START or SUBSCRIBE.

No sale, no marketing sharing. We do not sell your information. We do not share your mobile phone number, SMS opt-in status, or any related consent data with any third party for marketing or promotional purposes.

3. How we use your information

• To provide estimates, schedule work, send reminders, and complete projects you request.
• To send you SMS messages about project status, appointment confirmations, document signing, and service notifications, with your consent.
• To process payments and issue invoices and receipts.
• To respond to questions and provide customer support.
• To comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud, and protect the rights and safety of BGC, our customers, and the public.

4. How we share your information

We share information only as needed to deliver the Service:

• Subcontractors and crews assigned to your project receive your name, project address, and the relevant scope of work. Mobile opt-in data is not shared.
• Service providers who support our operations (e.g., payment processing, scheduling, e-signature, SMS delivery, cloud storage) under contracts that restrict their use of your information to providing services to BGC.
• Insurance carriers when you authorize us to communicate with them on your behalf for an insurance-claim project.
• Legal authorities when required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights.

We do not sell your information. We do not share your mobile phone number, SMS opt-in status, or any related consent data with any third party for marketing or promotional purposes.

5. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as it is needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. SMS opt-in records (the disclosure language, date/time, and source) are retained for the longer of (a) the active relationship with you, plus (b) four years after the last text we send you, in line with industry guidance for proof of consent.

6. Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Links to other sites

The Service may contain links to other sites we do not operate. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of those sites. We are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or services.

8. Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Your choices

• You can opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT to any message from us.
• You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing brian@bgcexperts.com.
• You can refuse cookies in your browser; some features may not work properly without them.

10. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be noted at the top of this page and, where appropriate, communicated to you directly.
